The staff is friendly. The donuts are above average with a large selection of breakfast type pastries also. They have a dining area if you feel like hanging out and always quick service. I happened to run in there one weekend when most of Little Rock lost power. They didn't have power, but were still open. The cashier used his cell phone calculator to get my total. Got a kick out of it. The donut quality is good. I've always had fresh hot tasty donuts there.

I totally agree with Scott^ on this one, Shipleys is hard to beat, I've been all over the US and have yet to find anyone who beats them. Not Krispy Kreme, not Dunkins, no one! Merritts bakery in Owasso, Ok. makes sausage rolls close to Shipleys, yet again, not the same. They are the best doughnuts, sausage rolls and egg biscuts I've had!

I saw one Shipley's and wondered about it. I guess I think that if a donut shop, other than Dunkin' or Krispy, can make it in this economy then they must be good. So, when me and the mister stumbled across the second, and much bigger, location I asked him to pull into the parking lot. It was like 2pm or something- not prime donut eating time, so I was pleasantly surprised to notice about five signs that affirmed they were indeed still open. I really enjoy the glaze on a Krispy Kreme donut, but like it even more when a donut is so good that the glaze is secondary- and this one was. I just got a regular donut and the mister got a chocolate glazed one. It was great. They were also fresh- good job little donut shop!

Best donuts! They're large and always soft. I also love their kolaches, especially the cheese/jalapeno kolaches. It's definitely one of missed foods since moving away from Little Rock.

shipleys knows donuts. i know some people are infatuated with krispy kreme, but shipley's is the real deal, not some machine made, ultra sugarized donut. you can get there by 6am and get donuts still warm from the oven. heaven! now i live in california, and i can't find anything that comes close. :( ...
